Jeju island is located in southern end of South Korea. It is warmer than main land so it has beautiful scenery, culture, and sea food.

It is -5 ~ 0 degrees Celsius in the winter.  It is 20 ~ 29 degrees Celsius in the summer. It is windy. It has many rock, women and strong wind. Thus it is called "Samda-do". 

Also it is volcanic island, this volcanic island made world longest cave. It has many UNESCO Cultural heritage and wonders.

It is quite big, 1,800 square kilometers. You can enjoy cave, botanical garden, sea, rocky beach, waterfalls, etc. 

In my opinion must see is Yongmeori beach, Songaksan, Udo, Seongsanilchulbong, Samseonghyeol, etc.

Must try is Mt. Halla hiking and canoeing.
Must ear is noodle, horse meat, abalone, pork, sushi, etc.

Mt. Halla in Jeju, South Korea.

Mt. Halla is one of the most popular mountains in S. Korea.  It is 1950 meters high. I have been to here Feb 10th too.

Just before I went to Mt. Halla, it was heavy snow so closed for hiking. Soon after it was open again, I was very lucky to hit the summit Baekrokdam. I started 08:11am from Seongpanak. It took total 9 hours and 26 minutes. It was 18.3 Km long and difficult hiking. I hit the summit.

Normally you will start at 800 meters sea level and go up to 1950 meters sea level. It is necessary for the hikers to balance your energy well.

Necessary gears: lunch, crampons(=eisen), spats, one time use rain coat, water, etc.

Sault farm beach

It is in the Northwest of Jeju island. And it is part of Olleh Gil in Jeju island. This is beach and it is famous for sunset. Unfortunately, we were too busy to see sunset.

But the color of the see and sky was so beautiful that no place can beat this. Be sure to visit "Aewol Hae An Do Ro (애월해안로). 

Jeju island (=Jejudo) is fantastic island which is located in the southern end of Korean peninsula.

Jeju island in South Korea is famous for beautiful sunset and fishing site. Jeju island is in the south if Korea. It is 1 hour away from Gimpo airport to Jeju international air port.

At this Yong Du Am, make a wish and the wish will be come true. This Yong Du Am (용두암) is just 10 minutes away from Jeju airport to here by car.
