Naksan Park.
It is part of Seoul Fortress which is 18.63 Km long.
Seoul Fortress is the mountain fortress of Choseon dynasty (1392 ~ 1910).
3 Minutes away from Naksan park, there is Ihwa-dong (Ihwa Mural Village).

It is 10 minutes walk from Exit 2 of Hyeohwa subway station line No. 4.
But you have to clime the steep alley.
It is Korean geography that mountain has power of an animal. So choosing the position of royal palace was very important.
There are 4 mountains around royal palace.
North - Hyeonmu (Imaginary animal looks like turtle and bird)
South - Jujak (Imaginary animal looks like phoenix)
East - Cheongryong (Blue dragon)
West - Baekho (White tiger)
These four mountains are called "Nae Sa San (Inner four mountains)".
Among them, the mountain which is located in the east of the royal palace stands for Blue Dragon. It is Naksan (Naksan park).
<Ihwa Mural Village>
You can enjoy "Art In City 2006".
Art In City 2006 is the catch phrase of making the city beautiful.
68 artists participated in the Ihwa Mural City project.
It is almost same place of Naksan park.
The places are adjacent each other.
Anyone can be an angel in this village.
This village became the famous place after this place became the location of TV drama.
This mural is one of the most famous murals.
You have to wait in a long line to take picture.
Enjoy the time with common carp, Ha Ha Ha.
Also this stairs the place where many people like to visit to take pictures.
This village is also near by Dongdaemun market, Daehak-ro.
First look around Dongdaemun market → Ihwa Mural Village
→ and Naksan park.
Be sure to arrive at Naksan park one hour before the Sunset. Then you can shoot beautiful picture. It is around 7:30 pm in the summer. (But it is 2 hours earlier in the winter. check at the local tourist information center)
